One poor decision will haunt her forever.
Macy Mercer only wants a little independence. Eager to prove herself grown up, she goes to a dark, secluded park. She’s supposed to meet the boy of her dreams who she met online. But the cute fifteen year old was a fantasy, his pictures fake. She finds herself face to face with Chester Woodran, a man capable of murder.
Distraught over his own missing daughter, Chester insists that Macy replace his lost girl. He locks Macy up, withholds food, and roughs her up, demanding that she call him dad. Under duress from his constant threats and mind games, her hold on reality starts to slip. Clinging to her memories is the only way of holding onto her true identity, not believing that she is Chester’s daughter. Otherwise she may never see her family again.
Gone is the first novel in the Gone saga, a trilogy of psychological suspense thrillers. If you enjoy page turning suspense with constant twists and turns, then you'll love this nail-biting read.
Other books in the series:
Loved this book "Gone" thought it was a little to short as I read it much too quickly. My heart skipped when I saw that book 2 was out "Held" , again... It was either a fantastic read or I just read too fast. The characters are interesting and easy to follow. Poor Macy, will she ever get away from creepy Chester???? I need book 3!
I absolutely loved this entire series and read all three books in less than a week. My only wish was that these books would've been longer. However, the constant plot twists and changes in perspective amongst characters made the book very interesting. I definitely recommend this series. Just keep in mind that the first book is free, but the other two books in the series need to be paid for on iBooks.
The "Gone" trilogy has had me on the edge of my seat since I started reading. It's an extremely realistic thriller that has a story line and character development. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys suspense and a little bit of mystery. I'm excited to finish this trilogy and look into more of Stacy Claflin's work!
